On Harlow Council, the Liberal Democrats have 8 councillors out of a total of 33.
From 2002 to 2008, no party had overall control, and parties had to work together.
The Liberal Democrats formed part of each of the administrations during that time.
In May 2008, the Conservatives gained an overall majority and now run the Council.
