Green waste recycling service extended

Harlow Council's green waste recycling service will carry on until Saturday 3 December, by popular demand! Residents can take their green waste to the Latton Bush Centre and Swimming Pool car parks from 8:00am to 11.15am on Saturdays. (Please help keep our town tidy by only taking green waste along to the 'bring' sites at those times).

People on the state retirement pension, income support, housing benefit or council tax benefit who do not have access to a car can book a green waste collection until Friday 2 December (phone Contact Harlow on 446655).

Liberal Democrat environment spokesman Cllr Eleanor Macy says:
"The service was due to finish at the end of October, but we have experienced a lot of demand from local residents. Usually we would see demand tail off in September, but not this year. By extending the service people can continue recycling their green waste and help us reach the town's recycling targets."
