Harlow Liberal Democrats took a stand at the Town Show today - to campaign for a fair alternative to the council tax.

The Liberal Democrats have launched a petition calling on the Government to scrap the council tax and replace it with a fair system that's based on people's ability to pay. Local Liberal Democrat leader Cllr Chris Millington explains:

"As part of their Green Tax Switch, the Liberal Democrats also plan to cut income tax by 2p in the pound, and switch to green taxes instead, so the more people switch to greener living, the more of the tax cut they keep."
