A series of consultations on parking and road safety in various parts of the town is set to kick off. Harlow Council's Environment & Community Committee, chaired by Cllr Eleanor Macy, has agreed to consult residents on parking restrictions
- at both entrances to Moorfield
- at both entrances to Longbanks, and immediately outside Stewards School
- on Perry Road between Lister House and St James' & St Luke's Church
- on Trotters Road at Spinning Wheel Mead
- at the Commonside Road entrance to Berecroft.
Consultation will also begin on the introduction of residents' parking at The Hornbeams, and pay and display in the short stay area next to the new flats at the Town Station.
The Committee also agreed to consult with Essex County Council on the possibility of introducing a one-way system in Longbanks, following receipt of a petition from residents of the estate collected by local Liberal Democrat councillors.
