Local councillor Lorna Spenceley attended the first Staple Tye meeting of the new neighbourhood panels organised by the police.

Lorna raised a number of local policing issues, including the scourge of illegal mini motos and quad bikes racing through estates including Aylets Field, Barleycroft and Woodhill. Lorna says:

"Last year's Operation Catch & Crush was very successful, and resulted in a considerable number of illegal mini motos and quad bikes being seized and destroyed.

Local Liberal Democrat councillors have raised this continuing problem with council officers and the police, and asked for a repeat of last year's operation to crack down on this nuisance."
